We had slightly better luck with a few large flathead catfish but we cheated. They're not indigineous to the area though and need to be cleared out since they dont have any predators here apart from alligators and eat fkng everything. They taste alright though. Largest one I've picked up was just shy of 50lbs but once again, cheating, not real fishing. Also got a few shellcrackers and a few juvenile catfish but I released those. Nothing too exciting but a good day overall. Happy Easter, bud.

Try dynamite (or an explosive of your choice but nothing that fragments though), automatic weapons, or dragging a few feet of chain under the water connected to a motorcycle battery. These methods are foolproof but do usually require a net.
