See this is a place where one should be able to share problems and albeit I agree with ON about perhaps - Well ducky this is a good reason a very good reason to make sure you never let Leo get close or give out GEO info.

Now about Pain killers not working. True the Motrin or Aspirin MAY NOT Completely kill the pain. They SHOULD reduce it some - THAT IS NOT NOT NOT NOT the reason for taking them for tissue injury.

Reduction of Inflammation is the reason. To much inflammation can do more damage and make healing much MUCH longer. So there is a protocol to follow when you have such an injury.

So assuming you can take NSAIDS and not everyone can but most people can. You take them not for pain but for Healing, with Cold applications to area and when Inflammation drops then Heat n cold cycles.

Heat to promote blood blow but NO HEAT when injured as it will jack up white blood cells and make things even worse --- So you have to take charge of ur body and read up on this on web

No clue on how long. Probably you need to talk to a physically therapist who deal with that kind of injury. Regular docs no so good at a lot of things and physically therapists are good at things you can do as in stretching and special movements . Docs just push pills

Yea at this point a heating pad sounds good to me. Years ago I took Paramedic stuff via US Marines for field work and on occasions dolled out advice for ankle foot feet injuries in bad bad mountain areas I was working in - Later general first aid for Mountain climbing stuff and most recently Qualcomm does all kinds of such courses for field work

Now Yes I did not think for a moment about a pinched nerve - My bad - Yet from my minimal multiple first aid training the first thing one does for a pinched nerve is a good Anti-Inflammatory aka NSAIDS n sure there are Steroids that do that as well. I should have added but its advice such as no one is going to be able to do is - For a while don't do wot one does that caused the problem in the first place so as to give healing tyme.

INSTEAD I hit UCLA Med Library and hunkered down for about 6 weeks and read every book and medical Journal that was relevant to Alternatives to Chop me Up n Dice Pipes4Retrofit

One year later pipes more clean - 3 years later Pipes very clean - 5 years later Pipes more clean then a average 24 year old and all these years later my Pipes still more clean then any 24 year old.

Bottom line is One needs to take self charge of ones own body. Or I could have gone with Slice n Dice me up and then Docs could buy new boat n good for economy.

Hey Marines taught me on a dead pig how to sew up an artery. I cannot to this day sew on button myself - well it dangles something arwful. But once in Afghanistan, when and I had no clue he was going to - A Russian fired a rifle directly at me and like 20 feet away. Backfire blew most of his arm off at shoulder - arm dangles blood spurts and I get down a pull out a simple med kit and sew it up and it stops spurting.
