Topic: I'll be damned! I can't get rid of Bing!
+Anonymous A — 13.5 years ago #20,218

I use Chrome. I went into 'settings' and deleted Bing under 'manage search engines' and made Google my default search engine. Yet, when I do a search, I see Bing! Can't they fucking take no for an answer?!
Now I don't know what else to do 'cause it's not even on my list of search engines to delete it!

do it through your control panel.

Sounds complicated. I'll try anything at this point, though.

IF that does not work for you?
You probably got it when you downloaded a program-application and failed to uncheck the bing box. So Bing can be buried into something ELSE - Which only means asking yourself when did Bing appear and then all you have to do is get rid of whatever you down loaded and then reload off net but make sure you uncheck the bing for free box.
Oh and I am betting that MS Control panel remove tool will not do it for you. If so I have a rocking more better way to go cause it gets rid off the mass of registry files as well.

Its not hard. Do this and run a virus scan/cc cleaner.
