How to solve the 'problem' of homelessness in the UK:
* Make benefits only available to claimants with an address.
Consequences:
1) Homeless people would accept the copious offers of help from the many, many hostels that already exist and which are funded by the income-support payments of their residents.
2) People who 'don't like the discipline of hostels' would die of starvation or exposure.
3) Only people who don't think the world revolves around them would end up surviving, and they may well end up back in their own accommodation and in a job.
That would seem to solve it, if you ask me.
