Now X GF but still one hell of a great friend. One of my best Gal friends introduced me to her OB-Gyn. Dated and fell in luv.

So a long term Relationship with a full on MD. That was back when she worked out of UCLA and now is total out of hands OB-Gyn and now 100% Cancer researcher for Mayo Clinics and works out of a New York city research hospital.

When it was Cell that is -Air Touch it was Ma Bell spin off and owned by baby bell Pac bell - great company - They spun Air Touch off (now called Verizon)

Spun off to go PCS which by then LAW wood not allow Low band Cellular and high band PCS to mix - Then not now

So Pac Tell hired me as Consultant and sent me off to Sweden n Norway - came back with those I went with as group and we put in place base for what became Cingular Wireless now called AT&T

All was fyne in world re but but but A Crap hole of a company SBC bought out Pac Bell - SBC had such a shitty reputation they changed name to AT&T after picking up wot was needed to do that.

Crap company buys more better name for image.

I end up long term AT&T consultant - means I end up working for CRAP Company - Me I got the hell out and made myself a Robotics Consultant on Paper that is - Got one hell of a Gig for Robots but my only FAIL FAIL FAIL in Engineering was that Gig - I sucked at it - really really really SUCKED AT ROBOTS - Got it out of my system which is good - and said fuck consulting and let Qualcomm get me for captive employee.

Hey let me add to rant ok cause no one reads tl;dr but its good for me to release on occasions -

Back as kiddlet in University I ended up taking a course at MIT - I almost never mention cause it was just One Course - ok two but who counts - Course was paid for by company i worked for at tyme- all expenses to go from Calif to MIT - Great deal

Prof of course moves to San Diego - more easy for me to continue to take courses from Prof (Irwin Jacobs) he does a start up company and I say not for me - wanted no part in his company

He sells that company and does another ( I end up doing a gig with that company While doing a Consulting gig for my old employer HUGHES ) Deal blown up by Commie spies - movie made called Falcon n Snowman

But Gov pays for what is now the Globalstar Satellite constellation design on Paper that is and its worth a fortune if you can get it for free - I get offer to join Qualcomm and say no thanks

Later a few years later I want to join n they SAY NO THANKS as U not have one thing we need! Hurt I get a consulting Gig with of all people more AT&T cause I new they wood have to send me to AT&T School n teach me wot Qualcomm said I no had and needed.

Sounds good? Nope I new all that stuff from Bell labs hacking as kiddlet - but dared not tell anyone at Qualcomm or anyone else- No one is going to hire such.

So I send in resume again to Qualcomm (don't remind me I could have called Jacobs on phone and got inside with his help- i no play it that way)

They no contact me back even though I have everything plus they said I needed to be Engineer with them- The kind I wanted to b -

So after I felt total fuck up fail as Consultant to Robots - but wed did make one hell of a Robot that rocked and did something no one needed but well such is how one does advanced R&D

My Consulting contract for 6 months was up on a Friday - they say renew for 6 more at double the pay- I said can I make a phone call - I call n check messages n want to sewercide but its Qualcomm who says hey were u hiding and we need you here on Monday morning and open ticket for you no matter where you are and hotel room booked for week -

Wheeeeeewwwwwww - Funny thing about all of that- no one has read this far - So I fly down from LA area - Go through a battery of interviews - and when all done and they make a offer that is exactly wot I wanted to do for them including they promised me all Engineering and not have to be manager - very cool of them - I just had to ask them - Hey how cum not one person has brought up that added set of courses I took at AT&T school and no interview even mentions that kind of Telco stuff

HR says wot wot? Who told U we need that? I was stunned - fucking stunned - 1.5 year of my life blown re AT&T plus the Fail re Robots a personal major fail - and have to have AT&T as much as I hate them in my work life as long as I can work - It sucks it really does. Crap product and the only good thing is they no I Consult for Verizon the far far more better company n technology (Qualcomm)
