Back on topic, and to Anon D, great choices. Have you read his most recent, about JKF? For me, it's one of his many masterpieces, along with IT, The Stand, and Gerald's Game.

SK puts out mostly shit with a few winners here and there. Lovecraft can be good although sometimes drawn out descriptions can be dull. Poe was an ultra pretentious writer who died in a sewer. Poe is number 1

It's just a superb piece of writing, pick it up and read it. It's like IT (incidentally two of the kids from IT, Beverly and Rickie, appear in the first part of the book), it contains everything King knows about life and people. A great read, and very touching.
