Do you feel that the "women and children first" rule should be revoked in cases of emergencies? Obviously if we are going to be truly equal as genders, this should stop.

inb4 Kook completely twists and derails this thread into rape threats made against her and other women.

Men are rape pigs, so no. Women should only be equal when it benefits us. Thanks.

I do think that it should be children first. The women should be able to swim fine by themselves.

Would it be fair to say that lifeboats should be equally divided between male and female adults?

Yes if all of them are able bodied. After the children were safe, I'd rescue the people who could not swim, or were in some way incapable.

So much samefagging

I'm even even sure that this is still an actual rule. Back in the day, women were not encouraged to be physically, and many couldn't swim, they usually were also wearing heavy dresses that weighed them down.

This is why feminism won't work and will leave women devided and men confused. In a real life situation half the women might be willing to accept and equal devide where as the other half will expect it to be women first and those men who don't/won't toe the line will find themselfs shamed by other women who will call into question their masculinity

You really have no way of knowing what people would expect or not. That type of behavior isn't feminism but a attributes of a society that treats women like they're incapable, and men like they have to make every move.

It's history, Kook. Women have shamed men into doing what they want them to do all the time and this includes going to war and getting killed.

Men also shame each other. This legal and peer enforcement of gender roles has been around before feminism ,and it hurts everyone.
