Reality is an illusion.
There is no "truth".
We are thrust into a world without our consent and forced to face an equally terrifying and/or liberating existiential crisis which allows us to make our own meaning/purpose in this existence or to live as if the universe had us on rails.

I agree for the most part except I feel that we have the choice to make or find meaning.
Suicide is always on the table and that mere fact that you can always have at least that much control over your fate is strangely comforting.

The idea isn't that you should commit suicide but that you are never truly powerless over your own fate. I'm not advising people to an hero I'm only suggesting they are never without choices, even bleak ones. It's may seem like a radical or depressing idea but I think it's an empowering one.
You may not be able to control every variable in "reality" but you can control how you respond to it, even if it's just changing your perception.
