Why, after an anti-nazi pope, does the church feel the need to pick two nazi popes? He from Argentina and white. The only whites in Argentina are the Nazis who went into hiding.
+Syntax — 13.5 years ago, 18 minutes later, 52 minutes after the original post[T] [B] #238,005
Conspiracy theory.
Last Pope was a Nazi and Argentina is the home of Nazi refuge. A positive outcum could be the Falklands. As all No, the Falklands were raided by the Brits and stolen away. Vatican operates as its own country and could absorb the Falklands and had it back over to its rightful owners ...Argentina.

Last Pope was German = Nazi and of course its a proven fact as stated by Cardinals - Cardinals admit to having no clue wut 2do about Pedophile Priests - That is the current official line and I kid you not.
Argentina was the place all top Nazi's ran2 for refuge after WW2 - There are a huge number of Germans living there and for some reason I never figured out Italian restaurants are super popular.

Incorrect. The Falklands was found the maintained by the British for over 200 years. Argentina was taken by the Spanish who then commited genocide on the natives in the same way the Nazis did on the Jews, Argentina then raided The Falklands but were beaten. Now again Argentina is kicking up a stick because oil is believed to be there and Argentina want to distract its people from the real home issues.
If you're in favour of Argentina taking the Falklands then you must be, by that logic willing to hand Texas and California back to Mexico.

Coast Indians do not even have a reservation - Not one inch of land to call their own- the others were all relocated in bad lands of San Diego and Riverside County where its crap desert land cept Anza Barrego is beyond nice but only in Spring

I am not butthurt over Mexico taking over - I love the Latino food - music - culture and they make great neighbors. I suspect they will get my house on the Bluff here but not until it caves in as is expected.
Many have both North and South of me. This is just North of me and one of many examples of where my place or at least all of my back yard will go after a big Quake or even less

CNN just said he checked out of his Hotel and carried his own baggage. Wood not let anyone help him.
Cooks his own dinner - But the higharchy spelled korrect will corrupt him and take control and make him a puppet.
·Anonymous E — 13.5 years ago, 2 hours later, 1 day after the original post[T] [B] #238,490
He's a Jesuit who has broken with tradition and taken the name of St. Francis of Assisi. No idea how the conclave picked him, but it is an interesting development. The only way I can think of to have made this more interesting from a political standpoint is if they had chosen a Franciscan, but that will never happen.
Then again, a Jesuit is a pretty impossible pick.
Franciscans are awesome guys to hang around with. They had a gathering at a hotel I used to work with. They really embrace St. Francis's Bill and Ted philospohy (Be excellent to one another and party on, dude!) to heart. Neat perspective on life with their very strict vow of poverty. Pretty much just own a brown robe and a rope to use as a belt.

I haven't. He's never been accused of any abuse scandal stuff as far as I've seen. He even thinks condoms are OK if the intent is disease prevention.

Yeah, but Catholicism holds marriage to be a sacrament and that steers some things.
There is never going to be a pope that democracynow doesn't attack without taking the dogma of the religion into consideration. They just get more shrill over percieved flaws. It is like using theblaze to judge obama.

@238,533 (C)
I didn't say false. Flawed would be a better word. He's not the chief unitarian. Some kinds of criticism directed at an individual are pointless. He is a man who when made archbishop got rid of the mansion and chauffeur and lived in a small apartment and took the bus.
The pope is going to be catholic (though it isn't actually a requirement...), and he'll believe in catholic things, whether or not the rest of us think they're sane beliefs or not.
Its not productive. It is just whining.
As far as men who could have been chosen go he is a good one. He'll fix some (not all) broken things. He doesn't have absolute control. Papal infalliability doctrine only covers his words on a narrow range of issues. The position is more chief justice of the supreme court than god-king in reality.
I'm starting to sound catholic. I need a shower.
