If U had asked me this question last week it wood have received a more simple reply.
My training re Military was courtesy of US Marines albeit I was never one of them. Great mean ruff training - I was not really qualified but ended up passing Basic even with a fail but got a re-do and passed.
Survival was far more better cause I ended up top of class rather then bottom as I did in basic.
Later I hired a slew of former n soon to be former Army Rangers who did one hell of a job in Afghanistan and that was a mission accomplished and yes it took 10 years and that was back in the 80's.
Just recollections and this one is NOT PC. About 9 months ago I was on a flight from some hub - Atlanta or DFW going somewhere and plane was 90% loaded with just out of basic Army - and 75% were all women.
Thing is - It was more like a group of young girls going to a beauty contest. I kept looking around me and wondering Y? If beauty and fitness were the key to success, not one of them wood have joined the Army.

Not to disagree with you on that at all.
HowSomEver leadership is so out of touch with reality and with a stockpile of nasty ugly Plutonium, that does not even need a rocket powered delivery system to cause havoc in any number of USA Cities.
Their own people are not even aware that most of the outside world is eating a stomach filling meal several tymes a day. I did a lot of STUFF working for USA Gov agencies but my inside knowledge of North Korea sucks. Was never one of my assignments. No one I worked with even paid attention. I know rooms n rooms of people were, but not in my work enviro.
One just one rogue Paki scientist feed NK and Iran with all they needed to know to build nukes. I remember UCLA Physics classes where we looked at the almost impossible task of the critical tyming to get a Nuke to work. Parts near impossible to make but now the technology is off the shelf and anyone can build a working model but of course few have that prime ingredient. Starve the people and everything is possible.

I highly doubt their rockets are able to reach California. Their tests show that their rockets fail to even reach Japan. They could only nuke Seol, but they don't want to.

This is exactly the kind of danger everyone faces - Ragheads to North Koreans or even Skin Heads who get hold of any nuke material and grind it up and disperse.
Suicide types would only have to survive long nuff to get a package across country/state lines. Killing US Postal service on Saturdays does reduce ability to deliver on Sat/Sun but not if Fed X gets the package.
