Either way, reading will improve your literacy.

Harley and I have kindles. She had the first Kindle fire that she got from her grandpa and gave me it after a while because it hurt her eyes and didn't work for what she needed. I use it quite frequently. She has the Kindle paper white now, a few friends of hers got her it and she uses it a lot. Kindles are nice little things. Harley still gets physical books, but I prefer the kindles convenience.

Agree the Kindle. I also enjoy going to book stores with old out of print books and buying. Technical books which I use daily - the Kindle sucks - I need to have pages of book with paper clips or yellow stickies so I can flip pages here and there to see the math which can take up a page by itself and keep flipping to the relevant diagrams and other equations.
Cookbooks I love to cook and yes I sure use the net a lot to look at but there is nothing like wanting to cook a complex dish or even simple and I need to see 3 versions of the same recipe and I usually take dis and dat and get the equation (recipe) that looks best to me - Exception is Julia Childs - I follow her's with dot i cross t's and only after trying it her way will I try changes the next tyme.

I have the LotR box set, but they aren't leather-bound. Actually, I can't even remember if I finished the series.

I really loved the Hobbit. When I read that book I was in love with a lady who was really into the literature of stories for children going back to the dark ages. She could not understand why I stopped at Hobbit when she had just completed TLR and I was just to busy with life outside of books to dedicate myself to TLR. I am only reading it so I can see the movie- I am no good at watching a movie and THEN reading the book.

I get the various readers for free and often in beta form. I get a lot of shit for free to evaluate but they often DEMAND a lot of pages n pages n pages to be filled out for my opinion which often is too tyme consuming.
I grew up with books that opened the world to me - Si Fi Fantasy Electronics Physics n Chemistry where I made some serious bombs rockets and FIREWORKS - Came home one day at age 13 with my living room in standing room only and all FBI agents over an incident but I wassss not guilty lol - Damn if they had asked just one question I probably wood have ended up in serious lock up. But they were on a serious case of mayhem which I was only peripherally tied to.

Couple of the readers cum with built in nightlites - One even works good in sunlight on the beach. In theory good for environment with no need to cut down a tree. Only subject miners who dig for gold n silver n copper to die of lung disorders and cave ins.

So does Harley. She loves the Kindle because she can get any book she wants. And means less room taken up in our room for me.

@previous (Krodan !DAeronfTAU)?
Good reasons Does she use any particular torrenting site? I have a hard time finding the type of nonfiction that I enjoy.
