I'm not absolutely sure about SimCity Classic, but at least in SimCity 2000, the name you enter during the setup is used in the game, for example in the newspaper.

Play something else. Their is so much choise in gaming these days. So many good indie games ect...

GangBang the game. Its true that because the game can only be played using the server so pirating is not an option - HOWEVER a person can pay for the game and provide several other users to be guests on the one computer with access to the game.

This is super easy on any one of my Sun Work Stations - I wood not even be aware or have any of my work load interrupted (no I cannot offer one of mine up re contract limitations) BUT YOU all could chip in and buy the game and the person with the biggest best fast desktop, could provide remote user access so it could turn into multi-player or divide the tyme up into blocks for SOLO Play.

A Static IP is desirable, but any ole Cable or DSL with cheaper dynamic can work ok.

EA is a Multi Billion $$$ company. Its of course possible to hack such ...after all if they can Hack the DOD or major corps they can Hack EA. But that wood last for maybe 20 mins.

Hack possible but probability is next to zero. So turning a home computer into a server to gain access to THE Server is in my opinion the only option. Divide the cost of the game and then the remote access which is easy. When I let a few friends have access to one of my Sun Workstation/Servers for a special project (permission from one of my clients for a test run) I spent too much tyme in worry about anyone one of them snooping into private files on that workstation Was a pain to write all the permissions to prevent the messing with.

On the news last night they showed a home for sale. The real estate agent was caught red handed on a security home cam - sneaking into the owners panty-bra drawer and having his way with her Victoria secretes.
