Fun playing with you but wot wood not b fun .....I B around long nuff to C many get sucked in2 so much net play it gets in the way of sleep and school.

You need to take care of yourself and honest education is the only thing that sets you free in life. I was so fuckin lucky to end up with a fun hobby that converted in2 one hell of a great set of jobs and of course in the end a hell of a lot of money - Most fun for many years however did not pay all that well. Trade off of excitement and working on stuff that is on edge of Science Fiction.

But the real deal is - Those gadgets that James Bond uses in movies may be over the top but similar things are really designed and made and played with but because they cannot make anyone any money, companies do not do much of that work - US Gov with unlimited money does that work but pays not so much.

Major fun major exciting was the trade off - Only with education can one do wot one wants to do - YOU need to also mix fun with school work and if this has not put you to sleep I give up

Well usually the hygienists are the ones doing the cleaning because it's their job to do so. The dentist usually comes and does an exam after the cleaning. What I do as an assistant is help the dentist with fillings/crowns/root canals/extractions, etc.

A lot of dentists are rude, arrogant bastards, but I don't work for one of those, thank god!

Well the other day a lady came in with a ping pong ball sized lump on her face that looked like a giant ZIT because of an infected tooth. Had to drain the cyst by making an incision on her outer cheek it was so big :( The tooth was also pulled.

Sometimes surgeries are really bloody, there was a man who needed bone smoothed off on his upper arch so he could wear his upper denture comfortably, so we cut a flap in his gums and basically drilled it smooth. Water sprays the blood everywhere so no matter how much suctioning I was doing, it was spraying all over the place.

Any infected tooth is pretty gross if you do a root canal and it's still infected. Pus just comes out of the hole in the top of the tooth and you have to let it drain.

I don't know if I have any really outrageous stories...

Yeah. Infection smells awful. Even teeth that don't form giant cysts or even pimples on the gums smell terrible when they're opened up. I've also developed a useless talent of determining whether people have periodontitis (gum infection) by the smell of their breath.

Infected gums breath smells different, it has that infection smell to it. Some people just have bad breath which is I guess from the bacteria on the tongue or wherever it originates as you were saying. Infected gum smell comes (obviously) from the infected gums.

Regarding the foot? Nothing could be done. In fact they told us not to touch it, because the toes could fall off. For a joke, I got a piece of a chicken bone from one of my coworkers, colored it shiny
