I get the vibe that you're kept in solitary confinement with little to no freedom other than acquiring marijuana from your friend.

Mother of God!
I expected a $1000 chin strap or you a loud fan.
How much did this machine cost and what's it named (would say on the machine)?
And do you realize your daddy did this just for you? Krodan's parents tossed him on the street at 16 by comparison, that's why he mod abuses so much.

> yes he found out he has sleep apnea his mouth fell
Oh that's the worst case! I was worried it would be this.
And I found the machine!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sleep_apnea#Treatment
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Positive_airway_pressure#Continuous_pressure_devices
I figured sleep apnea would need medications --- always have side effects.
Or surgery --- surgery's kinda bad.
The machine looks uncomfortable, so it might be hard for him to sleep with it now.
Alternative treatment is Tongue Muscle Training
> Other studies have also suggested that strengthening the muscles around the upper airway may combat sleep apnea. In a study of 2001 changes in the respiratory parameters during night-time sleep of patients with increased respiratory disease index after Tongue Muscle Training (ZMT®) were investigated. 40 sleep apnea patients, which up to this time had been treated with nCPAP, underwent electrostimulation of the suprahyoidal musculature for 5 weeks with a special EMS-device. The apnea, hypopnea and desaturation indexes were reduced in 26 of the 40 patients (65%) by an average of approximately one half.[48] A 2005 study in the British Medical Journal found that learning and practicing the didgeridoo helped reduce snoring and sleep apnea as well as daytime sleepiness. This appears to work by strengthening muscles in the upper airway, thus reducing their tendency to collapse during sleep.[49] A 2009 study published in the American Journal of Respiratory and Clinical Care Medicine found that patients who practiced a series of tongue and throat exercises for 30 minutes a day showed a marked decline in sleep apnea symptoms after three months. Patients experienced an average of 39% fewer apnea episodes after successfully completing the treatments. +Anonymous G — 13.5 years ago, 8 hours later, 1 day after the original post[T] [B] #231,538
