Topic: Kindle Paperwhite Battery Charging

+Anonymous A13.5 years ago #18,895

I know that on some electronic devices, it is recommended, when brand new, to let the battery drain completely once, then recharge. I have also heard differing opinions. When my Kindle Paperwhite arrives, should I charge it fully immediately, let it drain then charge, or charge once, drain, then charge again? Which is best for the battery?

With modern lithium ion batteries, it really does not matter. That advice only applied to the older batteries like Ni-Cad.

Why don't you google questions like these instead of posting them on a forum which 9 times out of 10 will not answer you?

Hit it with a hammer, then let it die, then charge per SOP.
