Its very hard. Frequently we will get an orientee who will shadow one of us for three days, and then when they work alone once on the floor, we never see them again. Also, since so many of my co workers are superstitious, religious people, I'm the one who has to take care of the dead bodies.

Structure and order are my bread and butter. When I have to work the next day, I run through what needs to be done just before I fall asleep. You can't do that, because you don't know. That would drive me nuts.

I do have the same basic routine everyday, broken up by resident demands, illnesses, and pure craziness. The thing that bugs me the most is answering the same questions constantly. The bright side of that, is that I can reuse my jokes over and over again.
