Topic: I've been counting Syntax satellite launches
+Anonymous A — 13.5 years ago #18,854

He seems to launch them 6 or 8 at a time. Daily. There's 84 new satellites in the last two weeks!
Thanks Syntax, for making my sports channel work. I appreciate it.

lol er no no no
My and I mean by that
MY First 4 were launched from Cape Kennedy (Canaveral) 1998 and it was my hand on the key n button while in Dubbo Australia Where the Delta II open its Vagina n set them free directly over my head. (actually 90 degrees but more at horizon so as I had a full 16 mins horizon to horizon in order to look see and communicate back n forth before loss of contact) Then a few months later the same for 4 more cept not the best of births cause some fool in Italy reversed the sun sensor wires on Sun vs Earth sensors and the births came out looking for Sun but no find it so Satellites started to spin n spin which is NOT GOOD for charge of batteries nor useful to use as in network. Took a long tyme to get that all fixed.
Then some dang idiot prior had decided to go for 12 at one tyme on HUGE MONSTER In Russia. Ceems story goes someone stole the fuel out of 2nd stage to sell on black market (story not verified as Russkies no talk)
Insurance covered all that but that put a bit of delay in getting the full 52 up for a 48 constellation with 4 as spares just in case which was GOOD.
So around 2000 all up and working and cash comes in buttttttt people not buy as expected - Good however all the spy guys from every fuckin country on Planet Earth buy buy buy including Bien Laden who bought 4.
Around 2007 the last of 8 of first gen design put up to cover the 7.5 contract life span which was in trouble re Cosmic space radiation messing wid S band amps and well just faster loss of life but shit happens in space/
So 2010 start of brand new Constellation for the full 48 and eventually 4 spares or so and its now 6 at one tyme and all from Russia and all well one wood have to read the 10K reports cause wot I can say is limited by contract --- NASDAQ has kicked the company to curb but cash flow is positive n getting more better and system sure is close to puuuuuuufection now and until the latest last 6 of New Born is in place cause moving them quickly results in less then the 15 years of life tyme so that's only going to b for two of them and the other 4 will just take own sweet tyme to drift in2 position.
So no more launches until final agree to build more spares is settled n of course dat will happen. In the mean tyme oodles of peoples lives have been saved with the inexpensive SPOT Device u can buy at Big 5's and backpack stores n Ski shops....Lost on trail? Trouble on sail boat? Just press button and anywhere in world cept for North n South pole you are Geo located and in Rescue mode butttttttttt them Helicoptors n crew going to cost you big tyme if needed.

Er, NO NO NO. He claims to have launched 7 satellites, and he makes that claim 7 days a week. This means that he launches 49 satellites a week. Therefore, he launches 196 satellites per month, and 2,352 a year. He is 78 years old and has been launching satellites, according to him, since he was 20. So in his entire career, Syntax has personally launched 136,416 satellites!
