We've got a similar thing here. But three strikes.

So get two strikes, and then switch ISP. Or cancel the account and start a new one.

Isn't there a way of ensuring your ISP can't snoop on you?

Pirating is about adventure! Jack Sparrow! Captain Hook! Black Beard!

@previous (A)
Wrong. You should go ask the one invented pirating instead of imagining the definition of pirating up.

I watched all the pirates of the carribean movies. I know what I'm talking about.

Here is a video proving pirating online is about adventure https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xMeLqP1A5O4

> The White House has stated its support for the agreement noting that the "agreement is a positive step and consistent with our strategy of encouraging voluntary efforts to strengthen online intellectual property enforcement and with our broader Internet policy principles, emphasizing privacy, free speech, competition and due process."
But that's a contradiction. You can't have monitoring while emphasizing privacy. At least, not without people calling you on it.

> Customers found in violation who believe an error has been made may not appeal individual errors until the process has reached the mitigation stage. At that point the customer will pay $35 and will then be informed of the number of Alerts that need to be invalidated to avoid mitigation. The customer may not question errors until the penalty is applied, and then has only 14 days in which to pay the application fee, be informed of the number of errors that must be identified in order to succeed and formally appeal the penalization decision.
So, one of your kids' friends downloaded stuff while they were at your house, on your network. Once you find out someone is trying to take action against you, you have 2 weeks to pay $35 and someone else will decide if they think there's an error. At what point do you get to defend yourself? Basically they arrest you and charge you as guilty and then you have to fight it. There's no "we were holding you as a suspect, but your alibi checks out so you're free to go."

What happens is people end up purchasing a VPN to download warez.

> warez
I never understood the point of trying to get expensive programs for free at the risk of contracting virii, when there's almost always a free program with similar functionality.

·Anonymous K13.5 years ago, 6 minutes later, 1 day after the original post[T] [B] #227,392

@previous (FuckAlms !vX8K53rFBI)

Well I'm downloading movies and TV shows. Almost never software.

@previous (K)
Maybe I misunderstood. Is warez an umbrella term for all things pirated online?

·Anonymous K13.5 years ago, 6 minutes later, 1 day after the original post[T] [B] #227,406

@previous (FuckAlms !vX8K53rFBI)

Well it probably means just software, but I like to call it all that.
