Religion doesn't help or hurt anything; it's the religious people who carry out what they see as their religious duties or obligations that hurt/help. It really depends. Whether it be bombing preschools filled with children, or providing a safe environment for teens in the ghetto, it's all people doing things for their religion. In my case, I'm not reading biblical passages or anything to anyone. I'm just one of many young men who are there for people to talk to and what not. Is Christianity helping them? No, but the church is by providing this. Do I stand by the church 100%? No, not at all but it's just about the only place they can go in this particular area.

The program offers walk-in counselors, free pregnancy tests without parental contact/involvement, free STD tests without parental contact/involvement, other at risk shit like that. Also free drug tests which I haven't quite figured out why... Maybe so they can see if something is still in their system before being drug tested by an authority or boss... lel

I'm not positive about the birth control but I think so because they have referrals for other medical stuff. And yes, but it's not so much "for" black people as there just happens to be 90% blacks in the area.
