Topic: I didn't like the movie Bruno at first, but now I understand the meaning of it

At first, I thought Bruno was just a gross-out comedy, but then I realized what it's all about. It didn't get favorable reviews, and I didn't really like it either, but now I see that it's a satire on our politically-correct society. It exposes just how disgusting homosexuality is, and that got under the skin of a lot of liberal movie reviewers. I think it's a genius movie in that regard, and it may be a turning point in society, where gays finally shut up about their "lifestyle."

And why is it that any time pro-homosexuals make an argument, they say something like "It's 2013!" Um okay...how does what year it is convince me of your opinion?

I'm glad Cohen is retiring these characters because generally speaking the films just out-played the humour. The TV counterparts were way funnier.

Personally, I really liked it when he asked some fat, balding, pasty-skinned 40-year old angry virgin at a neo-Nazi concert if he liked jumping against other naked sweaty men in the concert.

Lowest common denominator. Bruno basically just made fun of the most idiotic members of our society. I personally like Ali G much better because he would fuck with politicians and people of higher social status, targets that aren't as easy. The HBO show was genius. Borat was really good, and Bruno was actually still pretty funny.
