I do believe you have the order reversed, for Kimmo always seemed subservient to The Board. After all, he devoted all of his life to it and constantly developed new and obscure features whilst rising to its defense and battling and berating those users he felt who were unworthy of The Board.

I'd even venture so far as to say that "Kimmo" was but an extension of The Board. The Board represented everything Kimmo was and more. Kimmo was often inept, loud, and heavy handed while in contrast The Board did everything with a quiet, beautiful competence. If Kimmo happened upon a troll he would get enraged, shitlist the user, and then wax lyrical about it in an all-caps "rage bulletin" whereas if The Board's advanced AI (calling such intelligence "artificial" reads almost as an insult) detected a troll it would be dealt with swiftly and silently; taken out with one shot by a sniper instead of a volley of cannon fire.

DerPigRoaster was his second in command. But DerPigRoaster eventually betrayed him and they had a huge falling out. Then DerPigRoaster snuck back on and got wiseguy status again, only lose it once more. Then DerPigRoaster stopped trying.
