Considering Star Trek seemed more like a Star Wars film I'm sure it'll be fine. The fact that they need to make Episodes VII-IX is some pretty murky water though.

So long as Abrams doesn't fuck up the next Star Trek film, who knows. He did well with the first one but he mangles the sequel it's in all likelihood that he'll mangle Star Wars in a similar fashion.
