TROMSØ, December 1, 2012: With only days until the site launches, PlainBoards.org owner Frank "Usrs" Reidar says that the beta testing has proven to be "very helpful" and that the site is nearly ready for use. "I've always hated Reddit," said Mr Reidar. "PlainBoards.org is designed to change the way people think about internet forums."

Michael "savetheinternet" Horowitz, lead programmer and technical advisor, confirmed that the site is indeed ready to go. "Our biggest challenge will be competing with PlainBoards.com," he said. "It's hard to make a decent website when you're also visiting the synagogue three times daily." He proceeded to mention that the owner of PlainBoards.com, Kimmo Johan Alm from Sweden, has been running his competitive website for nearly 9 months longer. "Competing with Mr Kimmo Alm will be hard, but I'm certain we can pull it off," he said.

Alm and Horowitz are old friends, having competed against each other with the websites AnonTalk.se and bulletins.iwantabro.com respectively. "I'm not worried," said Mr Alm in a statement to the press. "My website is pure gold and Michael Horowitz is an Australian dumbfuck. There's no way he could compete."

It went down for a while. It said connection refused, which means it probably wasn't overloaded, but intentionally shut down. Now the front page shows an empty page, and everything else shows a 404 not found. And the server listens to regular http connections on port 443 (normally used for SSL.)

It's like the grinch stole my christmas =(. Maybe he will realize that it is pointless to try to hide from us and just bring back AnT.
