idk if you're still around, but according to the datestamp in the original archive you sent me, today marks 10 years since you backed up the 1.8 minecraft server that you and me and On played on together. I've continued to play in that world (without converting to newer versions) and even as recently as last October or November I discovered a player-built structure I'd never seen before. Anyway, it's a piece of Tinychan history, so I figured for the 10th anniversary I'd pack it up and share it with you and anyone else who's interested. The only catch is, noobs don't get the Nether shortcuts; you start at spawn and have to explore for yourself. I didn't break the overworld portals, I'm just putting the DIM-1 folder† behind a password Cat's minecraft username in all lowercase so if you go through one it'll generate from scratch and it's pretty confusing (or at least I was always getting lost* before I made tunnels.)†yes it's a double-nested archive, can't apply compression optimization to a password protected archive
*even when trying to follow my own signs!
The download is only good for 7 days, so if you miss it, just bump the thread and I'll repost it.

Our home chunk did get corrupted when I was preparing it for upload, but luckily I was using a copy and discovered the issue before zipping. Hopefully it was just the one, but if there are others, report those too. Reading off an external HDD isn't the best when riding a fast horse...

He or is that she stopped posting on mc with a farewell post. Seems IT converted to Muslim but has to drive like 125 miles round trip to go to services as IT is not welcome in Its home town. Guessing It was not up to comments about such a religion. I miss sparing with Cathy. She with 10 years of Jr college education ended up getting a job as a dishwasher but also the only work she could get was a long distance drive daily.

I guess I'll point out that although the Nether is locked, you're not starting with nothing. As the screenshot shows you do have basic weapons and tools and food (durability and selection may vary since I took the screenshot before I discovered the corrupted chunk and went to investigate) as well as iron armor. Also the field next to the castle has plenty more food ready to harvest. And I'll repost the archive and update the OP link since I'm bumping the thread anyway.
