I went straightedge again and friends and coworkers are generally cool with it (even if social drinkers don't 'get' it really). It does feel like another reality.
After hitting my 20's and 30's I realized this treadmill isn't for me. I still work (have bills) but found the LEAST taxing work I can find that still covers living. In my spare time I garden - I absolutely would have been fine as a small time farmer peasant and this is as close as I can get without going Mennonite or something.
