So Rick Perry the then Secretary of Energy had Trump lump in this gas deal in the negotiations Trump had with Zelensky. So Zelensky was to sign an agreement buying oil and gas from a Louisiana shell company with no assets run by Marsden Miller Jr. along with opening an investigation into Hunter and Joe Biden otherwise they would not receive the $400 million in military aide they were supposed to receive by law.
Miller was part of a corrupt extortion scheme.

Marsden’s brother-in-law (Fatfuck’s uncle) a corrupt oilman by the name of Robert Bensh was a longtime confidant of ousted dictator Viktor Yanukovych and Putin stooge.
Bensh is buddies with Rick Perry (who famously resigned during the second impeachment scandal to be a fall guy) and Perry pushed Trump to push the LNGE Inc deal with the Ukrainians. Trump held the LNGE deal and a promise to investigate Joe Biden over the Ukrainians heads or else they would not get congressionally approved military aide.
Ukrainians searched Miller online and decided he was too corrupt even for Ukraine to accept the deal. Trump was not able to bully Ukraine in order to help his campaign and enrich his big oil friends.

FA is good people, I grew to like him a lot (I kind of liked all the mods there except for Meta, who is the reason for my self-imposed exile) and regret I can't chat with him now, and to be fair to him he tries to keep 'drama' off the board for his own sake (Matt tends to shit MC up when he's upset, which creates work for the mods). Drama is the life blood of chans. When there's drama there's users and when there's users there are Quality Posts unrelated to the drama.

It's hard to balance the shitposts, trolls and drama. Trolls ran wild here and drove most legit posters away. When regular posters left, the trolls left as well. Time in general has also played a big part in people leaving. It has been over a decade, very surprising that both these boards are still here at all.
