The majority of the Quebecers I know want to secede anyway. We used to have this guy on IRC who could not speak English very well and would sometimes get into arguments with the IRCbots even after being told they were not real people. Good times.

I keep up with many of the French relatives that settled in Nova Scotia. When the Brits made it uncomfortable for them - they split and moved to Louisiana. Ended up as Cajuns.
One unique thing of many they did was to turn the most basic of French sauces upside down - Roux - Cajuns use it at the GetGo in Gumbo and French always add Roux at the end of any cooking.
Quebecers should have jumped ship to the States as well. Well on 2nd thought that might have failed but there was plenty of room for them in Louisiana.
