I've even got some accupuncture needles laying around somewhere. One of my mom's ex-husbands was a chiropractor and accupuncturist and believed in all sorts of quackery (no pun intended) but it does work for some people. Maybe it's placebo or maybe there's something to it. I think it's bunk but I believe the best evidence is empirical evidence when it comes to these sorts of things... with the exception of maybe urotherapy, I'd avoid that one.
Can I ask what symptoms you hope to alleviate w/ accupuncture? If it's personal I understand. I'm just mildly curious.
For the record I don't think allopathic medicine is the end all to be all when it comes to health but if you elect to use complimentary therapies they should accompany it instead of replacing it for severe conditions.

It's the "therapeutic" application or ingestion of urine for mostly cosmetic purposes but some still use it for medical reasons.
Try a heating pad too but there are alternatives so you have
fewer periods which could help anyway.
