...at least an over the shoulder acknowledgment to the very first radical: from all our legends, mythology and history (and who is to know where mythology leaves off and history begins - or which is which), the very first radical known to man who rebelled against the establishment and did it so effectively that he at least won his own kingdom - Lucifer.”

Lux Et Ferre sounds more appealing to me. Though I don't know if it's actually what Lucifer would be called in Greek. I just know it has the same meaning. "Light and Fire"

This whole thread is up for debate.

Lux fero/Lucem fero/Heosphoros/llyh/heylel/Lucifer. A better translation would be "I bring the Light", "The Light Bringer", the "Morning Star", or "Shining One"... depending on what you're going off of.
Heosphoros being the Greek version. It depends on the translation and the transliteration of the word itself.
The key verse being Isaiah 14:12.
Satan/Azazel/Iblis/The Adversary also appears under different titles across different texts and translations but that's another story.

Another Greek transliteration for Venus or the "Morning Star".

Absolutely.

Of course. All other nuns should be exterminated.

I've had an interest in the
original rebel since I was a little kid sitting in a worn wooden pew at a Southern Baptist Church in a rural part of FL and first heard a red faced pastor screaming about his influence and how he rebelled against God.

> Southern Baptist
The worst kind of Christians.. I'm normally accepting of all religious groups, but for some reason, Southern Baptist Christians tend to shove everything down peoples' throats which in my opinion, doesn't help their cause for spreading their beliefs. But anyway, the original rebel sounds like a great album name. Or band name. Or something. Everything Satan-related sounds cool to me I guess.

I vandalized that same church later on in my youth.
After going through that hell, being ostracized for having alternative beliefs (I was sort of a omnist as a kid, I thought that paganism and Christianity were compatible provided I didn't put any other god before the big G-d).
I think the breaking point that really pulled the wool from my eyes is when I was reading something harmless that had runes on it and a school resource officer pulled me aside in the middle of class and informed me that "This was a Christian town" where all my peers could hear. He confiscated my books, burnt them, and I returned the favor in kind at the Church. I don't have a problem with all xthians but for the most part I feel like the Abrahamic religions are a blight on humanity.
After I vandalized the Church my father confronted me and was screaming about not wanting me to "perish [in hell]".
The whole incident is laughable to me now but attacking the church didn't do much of anything but reinforce their sense of self-righteousness and of course everyone tithed a little more that month from my understanding even though the building was insured. So in retrospect my act was actually counter-productive but I still left a message, and that meant something for me at the time.
PS: It would be a good band name but there's enough Satanic posers out there in the metal scene that put the most inane and random "occult" or "satanic" sounding stuff together just for show. I don't consider myself a Satanist per se, or even a Gnostic Luciferian, but I have an understanding and more respect for the latter. Modern Satanism is a joke to me, it's just a atheism with dark trappings and a little occult ritual thrown in for fun. I dabbled in the 218 current for a while but that wasn't for me either. Thelema made much more sense to me, even more so after learning more about Buddhism.

What'd you do to vandalize the church? I find that incredibly hilarious. I've always wanted to do something like that to a group deserving of such, though I don't have the confidence or the proper target for it. I'm a bit morally immature. If that makes sense. I have a loud conscience, but I dream about doing stupid stunts all the time.

Please be sure to differentiate atheists from anti-theists. The difference is unfortunately lost on most people which results in atheists being mislabeled as intolerant extremists which is not the case.

I second this. Like I mentioned earlier, I'm fine with all religious groups. It's the ones who don't respect others' opinions that I have a problem with. In my opinion, I think no one should care what the other believes and go on with whatever they believe.

If it's discomforting, then by all means, don't think you have to talk about it. I apologize if it brought back any discomforting feelings.

Yeah it's not so much discomfort.
Although I believe in FL it's past the statute of limitations so legal issues aren't really a factor at this point.
