If this wasn't such an established pattern, I'd probably be disappoint.But really, considering that M$ boasts how svg was adapted from their utterly unsupported vml standard, you'd think they'd at least bother to make their browser adherent to the standard they claim to have grandfathered...

I did on my computer. Aero wastes too much screen space with all the rounded corners and large buttons.

They're trying to go for the tablet/touch-screen hybrid market, but 8 is an utterly unusable interface, and completely impractical for business use, which is their main market. Recently they've been touting outlook in advertisements, which seems fairly desperate.
