the white line is kind of bullshit to be honest. They always want your bumper behind the line, but if you've got any other traffic behind you, you can't just do a leisurely break and come a to a full stop. The person behind you is gonna ride your tail if you do because they don't know you're taking a test. At lest that's how it is in the US. I'd think Canadian drivers would be a bit less asshole-ish because of mounties, but I've never been there so idk.
