As always with these types of threads, I'm partly fucking with The Doctor, but only partly this time. This is a great documentary, in which the film crew were granted access to such things as the Secret Archives and the Vatican Observatory. It's very silly in some places (fittingly, I suppose, given the subject) - it has that annoying American habit of trying to add suspense to things which don't require it (lots of spooky music and husky voice-overs). But if you can get past that, this is a brilliant look at one of the maddest, most corrupt, but also most fascinating institutions the planet has ever seen.

There are worse ways to spend an hour and a half, let me put it that way. Check it out if you want.
