It is also typical for undercover police officers to be dressed as Bruce Lee and drive recklessly at high speeds while talking on their cell phones and holding firearms. It is also very common to witness high speed chases in supermarkets.

Also, are you playing any of the DLC?
Just save for the most expensive car, if you're in a car chase with a firearm, always shoot for the tires, not the drivers. I hate the fact that there are fences EVERYWHERE. Also date everyone as quickly as possible because it makes all the collectibles appear more quickly on your map.

I'd say it did a fairly decent job on capturing the Hong Kong atmosphere
I did actually feel it's kinda like HK when playing
of coz there're still plenty of exaggerations and misses
and the fact that it only features Hong Kong Island, when Yau-Tsim-Mong area in Kowloon is the heaviest triad-problem area is quite a let off
but overall it is the 2nd most closest to real HK game world I've ever played
