We need to think about the economy
Should loans for assisted suicide be acceptable? Say for instance assisted suicide was allowed, no questions asked, but privately run. The economic part is that we give out loans for those wanting to go through with the procedure. Say we bring the cost of assisted suicide to a base fee of half a million dollars. But the loans for assisted suicide will be deposited in installments of 100 thousand dollars every year for 7 years. The installments are for the person wanting to go through with the procedure along with a yearly checkup to make sure they still want to continue. They can proceed with the procedure as soon as they have the money. If the loans are not fully paid out, the private organization will collect the rest of the payments for the recipient. If a person has half a million dollars they can immediately go through with the procedure without a loan, but they should still be encouraged to get the loan and talk to a doctor on a yearly basis, that part should just not be necessary.
