actually, it's kind of interesting. if you compare stats, TC has way more users online at any given moment than is conveyed in activity. the folks page shows 30 for me at the moment, compare to MC's decent activity at the moment with just 11. but the activity is also different. most of the MC folks are reading topics on the front page, while the TC folks are reading older threads. my thread asking for an AnT archive got something like 350 views, while the equivalent thread on MC got just 50. these users may be bots, one of them is in a thread for the anime blood plus which got one reply, saying "anime is for virgin weebs". but then what are the bots there for? what do they seek out that the other illegal clones that are still limping along don't? what makes TC special in that regard?

and if they are real users, honestly it's hard to complain about people lurking moar. with time and distance, i've really come around on lurking moar as a community management tactic.
