so a mix of cope and virtue signaling amongst other things then. makes sense. Yeah "thoughts and prayers" doesnt cost anything tos and its just one of those "something you say to sound nice but you dont really mean" kind of thing.

but yea I was confused by that for a while and thought nothing of it at first but now meh.
