Christians have been fleeing the region and seeking refuge from the violence for millennia. It's how we ended up with Danny Thomas, St. Jude's Hospital and a Lebanese Maronite Church not far from my home. The ones left behind who understand "blessed are the peacemakers" are a tiny, shrinking minority.
