4chin and the party(and yes even you TinyChin <3) taught that you should never take anything serious in life and online and whether a joke was meant to be to funny or not. one should strive to laugh it off or prepare a comeback. Remember IRL is miserable place for a lot of people including admins/mods etc. politics/scumbagfuckery and just general normie hijinks fucked up a lot of folks out there. This is their escape when relationships fail and break up/divorced, when they get laid off, when they lose everything they own. Maybe they have zero family and friends. We can't afford to crash out in the real world due to the real world consequences so we do it here. I rather the internet be the place we dump all our collective mental garbage than go out and we actually hurt each other. I believe somebody wrote this before im sure but I dont care its worth mentioning it.
